Grace Home Foundation is 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization located in Birmingham, AL. Grace Home Foundation was formed after a small group of individuals traveled to Nepal for a hiking tour, and met with D.R. Thulung, a local trekking guide and founder of Grace Home. Grace Home is an orphanage located in Kathmandu, Nepal. Thulung founded Grace Home in 2006. told the group about his work with Grace H
ome as they hiked and they soon realized that he and the children of Grace Home needed their support. Upon their return to the US, Grace Home Foundation was formed. Grace Home orphanage currently houses twelve children ranging from ages five years old to seventeen. Two of the eldest children just recently finished secondary school and will be transitioning into college; therefore, we know there is some form of continuing education after the children age out of the orphanage. Apart from the Grace Home Foundation, a board of directors in Kathmandu, Nepal, manages the operations of Grace Home orphanage. The members of this board solely make the decisions regarding the needs of the orphanage and are in communication with the board of directors in Birmingham, Alabama. They are currently in need of monetary donations to address the critical needs of Grace Home, such as safe drinking water, comfortable beds, school fees, and health care needs for the children who live at Grace Home. The board of directors, in Nepal, makes decisions regarding the use of funds provided by Grace Home Foundation as they see necessary. Two essential board member contacts for Grace Home Foundation are founder, D.R. Thulung, and Nagendra Ria, a caretaker at the orphanage. Grace Home Foundation also provides financial support to Kid One, a local nonprofit in Birmingham, AL. Kid One provides transportation to children and expectant mothers of families without the necessary resources for transportation to health care services in the state. References:
