Formerly the Birmingham Beautification Board, the Keep Birmingham Beautiful (KBB) is a local affiliate of the national organization, Keep America Beautiful. KBB is a division of the Public Works Department of the City of Birmingham and is supported by several local and national sponsors. The Commission is composed of eighteen members representing the business and government community, the Birmingham school system, local religious institutions, and local media.

This weekend, a beloved kick-off to summer is BACK! Don't miss the Fishing Rodeo at East Lake Park, hosted by Birmingham City Councilor Hunter Williams and Birmingham Parks and Recreation!

🎣It's free -- just bring your rod and reel and get ready to catch some catfish! We're stocking the lake with 2,500lbs of fish, so bring the family and let's lasso some fun, Birmingham!🐟

1st place — Woodlawn HS
2nd place — Jackson-Olin HS

WEST REGION
2nd place — Wenonah HS

If you didn’t make it to our April event, mark your calendars for May 9th.

We'll be at the Center Point Satellite Office (9:00 – 11:30 a.m.) ready to help you responsibly dispose of your old electronics and sensitive documents.

From those old tangled cords and printers to that microwave that finally quit on you, bring them by! We are also offering paper shredding to help keep your personal info safe. 🔐

In honor of Earth Day yesterday, BCS students learned about the importance of having clean communities and an even cleaner environment 🌍💚
