Kandy Kanes of Kappa Rho Sigma was founded on Sunday, July 21st, 2013 by Miss Ayzia Jackson, Ms. Bryan Jenkins as sweetheart group to Phi Kappa Sigma High School Fraternity. During its first year of existence , Kandy Kanes stirred up the High School Greek scene in the city of Birmingham. Never before had there been a true sweetheart organization formed to solely support a high school fraternity. T
he Kandy Kanes’ first performance came at the 3rd Annual Phi Kappa Sigma Back to School Stepshow in October of 2013. The went on to perform in two additional shows, one in Memphis and another in Atmore, AL where they earned a 3rd Place trophy. After much thought and debate over the future of the organization, it was voted that Kandy Kanes would become a sorority, as the sisters to Phi Kappa Sigma Fraternity. It was later established at Wenonah High School as The Kandy Kanes of Kappa Rho Sigma High School Sorority on Monday, June 3rd, 2014. The purpose of Kappa Rho Sigma is to unite every member in the love of sincere and lasting sisterhood, to support each other in the pursuit of love, to promote the moral and social, and educational culture of our members, and to at all times display the highest moral standards and support.
