Saturday, March 28th, we proudly celebrated 120 years since the founding of our charter while hosting our Annual Ole Timers Day and Apprentice Graduation Day.

During the pinning ceremony, we recognized members reaching milestone years of service:
• 25 years – Nathan Hudgins & Rickey Wallace
• 30 years – Gerald Griffin & Chad Crumpton
• 35 years – Heath Rodgers
• 40 years – Dale “Doo-Doo” Pardue & Jim Love
• 55 years - Alton Ray Thomas
• 60 years - James Partain, William Jones

We also would like to extend a congratulations to this year’s graduating apprentices:

Cameron Tillman, Kyle Lankford, Cole Garrard (Outstanding Apprentice 2026), Preston Short, Layton Horne, Spencer Griffin, Logan Preston, Carson Tims, Trent Mays, Connor Brewer, Sean Hutchins, and Micah Bruce.

On September 17, 2025, the Union IronWorkers Local 92 Apprenticeship Training Center proudly partnered with United Way and Regions Bank by offering our facility to support a community initiative. The event focused on performing maintenance on bicycles that will be donated to children in the Birmingham area. Below are some photos capturing moments from this meaningful collaboration.

Exciting News from the Union Ironworkers Local 92 Apprenticeship & Training Program!

We are incredibly proud to welcome two outstanding students from the Walker County Center of Technology into our program. Today, Jorden Durham and Jadin Pierce have officially signed with the Union Ironworkers Local 92 Apprenticeship & Training Program!

Their dedication and hard work have led them to this remarkable opportunity, and we are thrilled to support them as they embark on this exciting journey toward becoming skilled professionals in the ironworking industry.

Please join us in congratulating Jorden and Jadin on this significant milestone. The future is bright, and we can’t wait to see all they will achieve!

Union Ironworkers Local 92 Apprenticeship Program: Supporting Our Community

On May 30, 2025, the apprentices of Union Ironworkers Local 92 demonstrated their commitment to both their craft and their community by participating in a meaningful project. In collaboration with United Way Hands-On, our apprentices gained valuable hands-on experience by erecting a pole-barn structure for the Midfield Community Gardens Project.

This project not only allowed our apprentices to refine their skills in a real-world setting but also made a positive impact on the local community by supporting a vital initiative that fosters sustainability and growth.

We are proud of the hard work and dedication shown by our apprentices and are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this important project. At Union Ironworkers Local 92, we believe in the power of giving back and building a stronger community together.
