"No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted." – Aesop

Junior Civitans are experts at demonstrating courtesy & kindness. What kind of project does your club host that exudes kindness and courtesy?

We recently had our Advisory Committee meeting for Junior Civitan leadership across the country, and heard about many great ideas for service projects: town cleanups, visits to nursing homes, school supply drives for teachers and students, blood drives, angel trees, sock drives, hosting a dance for special needs students at their school, and so many more!

The Junior Civitan Bell, a Civitan tradition since the beginning. Imagine a convention hall, packed to the brim with bustling energy and busy Civitans, and a sharp, clear ring vibrates through the entire building. 🛎

Some clubs engrave the name of Presidents, ring the bell to signify the beginning of a meet, or use it honor the recipient of a Civitan Award. The bell serves as an artifact that tells the living history and story of each club's service.

Did you know Junior Civitans were the first Civitans to approve of spearheading the funding for The Civitan International Research Center (CIRC)? On day 3 of Junior Civitan Awareness week, we highlight the Civitan International Research Center with scans from vintage Countdown Magazines & modern pictures from All In Summit and the researchers at CIRC.

The CIRC is an interdisciplinary center focusing on the development of the mind-brain through our unique mission of service, education, and research, and is part of UAB Medicine, a world renowned hospital system in Birmingham, AL. Junior Civitans continue to support and cultivate the partnership by fundraising through the All In Summit every year. So way to go, Junior Civitans! You are supporting ground-breaking, life-changing research with every dollar raised.

Junior Civitan isn't just in the USA! Some of our most active, inspiring, and mission focused clubs are in Canada, including the Nativic of Dundas Junior Civitan and the Almonte Junior Civitan Clubs. These clubs partner with their local IDD organizations, host cleanups, and are dedicated to making sure their local communities are being served. Thanks Dundas Junior Civitan Club & Almonte Junior Civitan for being incredible examples of Junior Civitan International!
