Discovery Clubs Discovery Clubs are free after-school bible clubs that meet in public schools one day a week for an hour. Join Us on Mission!

During this hour we learn Bible verses, sing songs, and hear a Bible story. There are many ways to join us on our mission:

1) Volunteer in one of our schools
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact Carol Gargus at 205-941-9856 or by email at [email protected] for more information.

2) Sponsor a Discovery Clubs in a school
If you or your church would like to sponsor a Discovery Club in a school, please contact Rachel Moore at 205-941-9855 or by email at [email protected] for more information.

3) Give to support our mission in public schools
If you would like to give, you can click on the PayPal link or Discovery Clubs E-giving link at www.discoveryclubs.org

Twenty-five years later, we remember all those who lost their lives and all their loved ones who mourn for them. We will never forget.

Lord, we pray for unity, peace, strength, love, and most of all for your comfort to surround those in need of it today.

Let them know, Lord, that you are Jehovah Shammah (the Lord is there) and that you will never leave or forsake them.

In Jesus' Holy Name, Amen.

Dr. King took a stand to defend those who were being mistreated and he did it with kindness while he trusted God to do what only God could do (sway hearts and minds toward change). We are remembering his legacy of bravery today, which forwarded progress toward a more just society.

As Christians we have an in depth guide to show us what is right in the eyes of God, our Father. As Micah 6:8 says, "He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?"

My prayer is that we all have the desire and courage each day to do what is just, kind, and God ordained, just as Dr. King did.
