💕 McCoy went PINK today and we made it a fun celebration! 💕

Wings & fries filled our plates and the sweet treats kept coming: cupcakes, cookies, donuts, and a variety of candy! 🍗🍟🧁🍩🍬

Even our staff received a little love with individual gift bags filled with a cosmetic bag and a journal. Because the people who care for others deserve to feel cared for, too! 🎁💗

Behind all the fun was a meaningful reason: breast cancer awareness. Today, we honored survivors, encouraged those facing breast cancer, and remembered those we hold in our hearts. 🎀

🍎🥨 A little warm c***r, a little friendly competition, and a whole lot of JOY at McCoy!

Friday, we wrapped up our Fall Festival celebration with apple c***r, soft pretzel bites, music, and an ice cream scoop stacking game that had our clients putting their steady hands to the test! 🍦😂

A few clients stated they wish the scoops were real ice cream and we did too!! 🍨

The challenge? Keep that stack standing! Everybody participated, everyone who tried earned a little prize, and our clients had a BLAST. The cheers and laughter made every attempt worth celebrating! 💙

These shared moments bring so much life to our Center, time to play, connect, and enjoy being together.

Five tables. One locked memory box. And a room full of life experience to help crack the code! 🔐🍂

Today at McCoy, our Memory Box Escape Room brought a little mystery to the big screen. The mission? Work together to uncover five numbers and unlock a box filled with photos from our Fall Party! 📸💛

Each table held a different challenge:
🗣️ Table 1: Finish the Saying
🌱 Table 2: The Garden Club
🕰️ Table 3: Memory Lane - Put events in order.
🧁 Table 4: The Kitchen: Grandma’s Muffins
🧩 Table 5: Riddle Time

The treasure waiting inside? Our own McCoy moments…fall crafts, party treats, and memories we’ve made together. 🥰

We also made time for a chair dance session, bringing movement and music into the day. Who says you have to stand up to get your groove on? 🎶💃🏽

Solving something together. Moving to the music. Seeing your shared memories on the screen. That’s a good day at McCoy. 💛

We’re feeling extra LOVED… and a little LOAFED! 🍞💛😂

A generous supporter blessed McCoy Adult Day Care Center with a HUGE bread donation: bagels, English muffins, pumpernickel, wheat bread, hot dog buns, hamburger buns, and more!

That’s a whole lot of possibilities for breakfast, lunch, and smiles around the table. 🥪 Your kindness helps us care for older adults and appreciate caregivers who make McCoy so special.

Four dozen donuts. A whole lot of smiles! 🍩💙

Thank you, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, for donating four boxes of a dozen donuts for McCoy Adult Day Care Center’s clients, volunteers, and staff! Your generosity brought a little extra sweetness to our day.

Pumpkins, paintbrushes, and a fish fry! 🍂🎃🐟

Today’s Fall Party at McCoy brought us together for watercolor painting, pumpkin decorating, and a delicious meal shared with friends.

McCoy ADC will close at 12 pm noon today so clients, families, and staff have time to get home and prepare safely.

A little preparation now can make a big difference:

• Gather essentials: Drinking water, ready-to-eat food, flashlights, batteries, first aid supplies, Depends, wipes, and other personal care items.

• Prepare medications: Keep medications, a current medication list, emergency contacts, and important medical information together in a waterproof bag.

• Charge devices: Fully charge phones and power banks. Make a backup plan for medical equipment that needs electricity.

• Plan with your loved one: Choose a safe place away from windows. Keep familiar comfort items nearby and explain plans calmly and simply.

• Stay informed: Keep weather alerts turned on, follow local emergency instructions, and arrange transportation early if you may need to evacuate.

• Avoid dangerous conditions: Never drive through flooded roads. Use flashlights instead of candles, and never operate a generator inside a home or garage.
