If you haven't made it to the Taste of 4th Avenue Jazz Festival yet, there's still plenty of celebration left tonight. Grab your dancing shoes, because a line dance lesson kicks off the evening, and Sherry Reeves and the Emily Jones Band keep the energy high before headliner Adam Hawley takes the stage.

Vendors are still serving up food and merchandise, and the whole district is buzzing with music, laughter, and community. If you're already here, snap a photo, tag Urban Impact, and invite a friend to meet you on 4th Avenue before the night winds down.

There's room for a few more in the crowd. Come find us at the Historic 4th Avenue Business District, and follow along at urbanimpactbirmingham.org/district-development.

It's finally here. The Taste of 4th Avenue Jazz Festival kicks off today from 2:00 to 10:00 p.m. right in the Historic 4th Avenue Business District, and two blocks are about to transform into a full day of jazz, food, and Birmingham culture.

Crowds are expected to fill the district today, so come early, bring the people you love, and plan to stay through the evening. The Birmingham Youth Choir opens things up this afternoon, with performers like Tre WesLee Sax, Halo Wheeler, Adam Hawley, and Alvin Garrett carrying the celebration into the night. Wander the district while you're here. The businesses that call 4th Avenue home would love to see you.

This festival brings our community together while honoring the district's jazz and cultural legacy, one note at a time. Get the full lineup and details at urbanimpactbirmingham.org.

On National Nonprofit Day, we're pausing to celebrate what economic opportunity looks like when a community invests in its own. For years, Urban Impact has worked to remove barriers for entrepreneurs and strengthen historically underserved commercial districts across Birmingham.

Through the BECOME Business Accelerator, we've served 259 businesses. Through 4th Avenue Forward, we've awarded 36 Impact Grants to district entrepreneurs. And through the Birmingham Community Impact Fund, we've provided 46 loans totaling $518,391 to business owners who needed a foundation to build on.

None of it happens without the community members, partners, donors, and entrepreneurs who believe in this work. As our INSPIRE campaign continues, we're asking you to help create the next chapter for Birmingham's culinary entrepreneurs. Support the campaign at urbanimpactbirmingham.org/inspire.
