On our Oak Openings field trip 54 species were found. Oakland Bird Alliance also visited Wiregrass Lake Metropark and Irwin Prairie.
We have trips close to home and in the UP (Upper Peninsula). Please consider joining us for a outing that works for you. All trips are free and open to members and nonmembers.

This session explores the diverse world of bees, highlights their critical role in our ecosystem, and showcases how Bees in the D is educating and inspiring communities across the Metro Detroit area to support and protect these essential pollinators.

Help us discover and document the incredible plants and wildlife found at Michigan Audubon sanctuaries across the state for the 2026 Summer Bioblitz!

From June 1–August 31, visit any participating sanctuary and record your observations using iNaturalist and eBird. Every sighting helps build our growing biodiversity database and supports conservation efforts statewide. Most observations wins a prize!
