Please join me in celebrating Shivika on receiving the Shelby County Superintendents Award, Shelby County District Attorney’s Award and multiple scholarships from DYW of Shelby County at Spain Parks awards day ceremony earlier this month. Shivika also had the honor of speaking at her graduation ceremony last week, as one of the Class of 2026 valedictorians🎉🎉🎉

We could not be more proud of our DYW. Outside of all she has accomplished in and outside the classroom, she is an outstanding human with a beautiful spirit. Can’t wait to see what’s next for Shivika!!!

Shivika participated in Hoover ki Holi last month. A few of the Spain Park Sapphires (Dancers) performed alongside Shivikia. There was also an opportunity to speak about the DYW program and Shivika always does a great job with this task.

Although graduation is right around the corner, our representative has remained dedicated to the program and is doing an amazing job.

Thankful for Talk of Alabama for having Shivika Wednesday morning and highlighting the 2027 Shelby County program which will be held Saturday, July 18th at Thompson High School @ 4pm.
