Urban Purpose exists to build relationships with those in need throughout our city, surround them with safe people, and offer healthy options for them to utilize in the journey of rebuilding their lives. When you know someone’s name, when you sit with them and you share a meal, and when you hear their story, then the doors open for us to do some pretty incredible things here in our city in caring for people that are desperate to know how much they’re loved.

Please pray for one of our very active, dedicated volunteers at the Compound and throughout Purpose, Bev, who had a much needed surgery this morning and now begins a period of rest and recovery. That God would fully heal her and she would enjoy this time of rest as a gift from God. We will all miss her! ❤️

Please pray with us for our friend *Chuck to see a doctor tomorrow about his extremely swollen legs and for a primary care doctor to care for him going forward. Please pray for *Debbie to continue with counseling. And for *Jaime to seek Jesus in the decisions she needs to make for her life, job, and living situation. Thank you for praying with us for these precious people. 🙏🏻❤️

The other day Tony was trying to get back to his apartment from the Compound, so Jim gave him a ride home. Many of you know Tony, a Vietnam veteran who has recently moved into a VA housing. As Tony gave Jim a tour of his new home, Jim noticed Tony didn’t have a TV and asked if he wanted one. So if any one has a smaller TV they would be willing to donate to Urban Purpose for Tony, we’ll be sure he gets it! Also pray for Tony as it seems his COPD is getting worse and he is relying on oxygen more and more!
