The organization is realizing that society is for ever changing. The economic shift is playing a major role in families life styles throughout the world. Take for instance the work environment. Parents are working longer hours. This can cause parents to lack at providing adequate nurturing for his or her children. The sad part is the lack of stability is leaving children without proper supervision
. The aftermath, is triggering young youths to live unproductive and unstable childhoods. Youth Are at Risk program has made it a commitment to provide parents with the necessary tools he or she needs to build a strong and happy environment for his or her children. For example, the organization provides assistance for G.E.D programs and creating a job market for single parents. This job market is allowing parents to get off work on time and spend quality time with his or her children. Counseling parents about the benefits of going to college. So, he or she can move his or her way up in the job market. Youth Are at Risk has provided job training for over 300 people within 3 years. We also provide the parents with the resources needed in order to care for their children while job training and starting a new job. The organization is taking on the fight and have become a leader in the battle to help change the direction of at-risk and artistic children in a positive way. For example, starting an after-school program. Youth Are at Risk is creating an atmosphere and learning environment where children can become well-rounded in all aspects of life. We believe that there is no particular racial background for at-risk children. Children receive one on one tutoring with educated staff members.
