Beloved Community Church

In case you received an email claiming otherwise, our Beloved Nancy Sales has sound limbs and does not need surgery.

Someone hacked her email and caused concern-to-panic.

Nancy is well-known and much loved, so we are helping her set folks' minds at ease.

If you opened the email from "her" claiming she broke her right femur, we advise you scan your account to ensure no malware attached to it. And maybe change your password.

We give thanks to God her limbs are whole!

Uphold the dignity of every person!

Nonviolence teaches us that accountability and human dignity are not opposites.

Turning an ex*****on into public viewing does not move us closer to justice. It normalizes violence and risks making us more comfortable with taking human life.

We believe justice must reject vengeance and uphold the dignity of every person, even in the face of profound harm.

Beloved Community UCC cherishes the many clergy who call Beloved home.

Some are retired.
Some are Chaplains.
Some lead Beloved.
Some have multiple roles.

We appreciate them all!

Recommendations on Amendments in Alabama from the League of Women Voters.

Sharing the LWVAL's recommendations for the Statewide Amendments on the Alabama Nov 3 ballot. A big thanks to our Advocacy Committee volunteers for their year-round hard work! Alabama does keep them busy... 🤣

Please Note: If you are on the Beloved Sunday email list and use Gmail, check your SPAM folder in the morning for our weekly email (which usually is sent before 8 am).

Last week, for the first time in memory, all the gmail accounts put the email from Rev Sonya on behalf of Beloved in the SPAM folder, which was just rude. ;)

Thanks for helping Beloved move back to your inbox!
