The NSBE-Birmingham Professionals Chapter invites students in grades 8–12 to participate in the 2026–2027 Future Engineers of America Pre-College Initiative Program.

Students will take part in interactive sessions focused on engineering exploration, college preparation, leadership, personal development, and future-ready skills. The program also introduces students to multiple engineering disciplines while helping them build confidence and prepare for college and careers.

The kickoff meeting will be held Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at UAB Gorrie Hall in Birmingham.

NSBE Birmingham Professionals and the UAB NSBE Student Chapter will be hosting the January meeting for the Future Engineers of America (FEA) program on this Saturday, January 11, 2025.

The program is for Birmingham. area high school students in grades 9-12.

The National Society of Black Engineers Birmingham Professionals Chapter begins the 2023-2024 year of the Future Engineers of America (FEA) program. FEA introduces high school students to engineering and other STEM careers from working professionals. To RSVP, email [email protected] with the student’s name, grade, and school. Parents are welcome to attend as well!
