Why: Bam Bam B'ham Jam is a memorial basketball tournament honoring the life of local athlete, Seth E. Fingerman. The one-day tournament unites the Fingerman Family and the A.G. Gaston Boys & Girls Club in their shared mission of enabling young people of the Birmingham metro area, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring adults.
On Saturday, July 13th Bam Bam B'ham Jam will welcome 50+ volunteers, 70+ players and countless friends and supporters of Seth Fingerman, who was affectionately known as "BamBam."
Throughout Seth's life, basketball was his passion, and he always wanted to have a positive impact on young kids through basketball. Seth was known for his good sportsmanship, helping his high school basketball team at Jefferson Christian Academy to two state championship titles and earning MVP in the tournament his senior year.
Seth's life and legacy will be honored at the first annual Bam Bam B'ham Jam by his loving parents, Cathy and Irwin Fingerman of Birmingham; his brother Levi Fingerman of Birmingham and sister Shera Fingerman of Austin and countless friends from across the country.
The invitational memorial tournament features eight teams from across the Birmingham-metro area with funds raised by the event benefiting the children of the A.G. Gaston Boys & Girls Clubs. To donate and learn more visit http://aggbgc.org.
