May 31 is World No To***co Day. This year’s theme is “Unmasking the appeal –
countering ni****ne and to***co addiction.”

When to***co companies use flavors, bright packaging and marketing tactics to drive
addiction, people with disabilities are disproportionally impacted and face barriers to
health care and cessation support. You can learn more about this topic and The Disability Network for To***co Control and Cancer Prevention by visiting https://chronicdisease.org/cahc/to***co/disabilitynetwork/

Let's work together to ensure a to***co-free future is accessible to all.

We had a great time participating in the Alabama Recreational Trails Leadership Workshop last week at Tannehill Ironworks Historical State Park. The workshop focused on advancing accessible and adaptive outdoor recreation, and Lakeshore presented on universal design and shared user experiences on trails. We also brought out an adaptive mountain bike to experience the new adaptive trail system at Tannehill!

Interested in trying adaptive mountain biking? Stay tuned for more events throughout the year!
