BBC 100 Dragon Century Challenge 2025 in the history books. Look for the Registration notice for 2026 coming soon. September 12/13. You don't want to miss this event in Downtown Columbiana Al.

Why do we choose Columbiana
Simple, great central location for smooth roads, low traffic and beautiful scenic routes / views. City is extremely accommodating and the venue is outstanding for the start / finish.

Why do we choose Sunday for the Ride.
Avoid Football conflicts and traffic is much lower on the roads.

Hope to see you next year!!!!!

Lloyd and Gene would like to thank all of those that volunteered to support the weekend of Time Trials and the BBC100 and getting ready for the event and shutting it down. It takes a lot of people to successfully handle a two day event. We have had all great comments back on the rest stops for the ride on Sunday.

BBC Volunteer Ride – Saturday August 30th

7:30 am Rolling from Columbiana Al, Downtown

What is the purpose of the Volunteer Ride?

1. Ride a few routes and verify the Road Markings
2. Many Volunteers give up their opportunity to ride the actual event so that they can ensure that you have a fun time on your rides.

Why do we ask non-Volunteers to Ride the Volunteer Ride?
• Since the Volunteers can’t ride on Sunday it’s nice to have someone to ride with when they do their ride. Maybe you can help them out by being there for them just like they are there for you next weekend.

Think about it when making your ride plans for tomorrow.
This is an opportunity to support your volunteers.

We plan to do the Metric (60) Route and the 27 Mile Route but if we have enough to make a 50 mile group we can do that too!!!! But we don’t want to make the groups too small.

Hope to see many of you out tomorrow. Load the route you want into your cycling computer. Considering the 50, load it and the 60 as well just in case we have enough.

Hey Folks, this is Gene, I still need another 6 volunteers for the BBC100 on Sunday Sept 7, primarily to work rest stops, take a moment and donate some of your time to pull off this event - you can signup at the following and you get the Tshirt!

We could not do this event without wonderful people willing to help prepare ahead of time or supporting the riders while they are on the course. If you’d like to be a part of this event we will have many ways for you to participate. We will be happy to add you to our list if you’d like to fill o...

If you have down loaded the routes for the BBC100 please do so again, they have all be updated with some minor cue enhancements and there is a change to the Century at mile 72 due to a road closure, also the Rest Stop in that area has been adjusted to the corner of CO 51 and CO 450.

We so appreciate our Volunteer who make the BBC100 a success every year, some of our crew have been volunteer for years and always respond with no problem, tell me where you need me. We still need additional help on both Saturday for the time trials and Sunday for the main event. Please consider donating your time and expertise for this once a year event! Never worked a ride, no problem, we have some volunteers who do not even cycle someone on the team will show you the ropes.
