Cameron Frierson, 16, was fatally shot while leaving a football game at Pearl-Cohn High School in August.

His mother, Brittany Frierson, recently came face-to-face for the first time with the four teenagers accused of killing her son.

MOTHER KILLED AFTER SHE AND HER BABY WERE PUSHED FROM 15TH-FLOOR BALCONY 💔

This story is absolutely heartbreaking.

23-year-old Nathaly Ramirez was killed after police say she and her 8-month-old daughter were pushed from a 15th-floor balcony at an apartment building in the Bronx, New York, early Tuesday morning. Her baby survived and remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition.

Investigators believe that even in her final moments, Nathaly was still being a mother. Police say she held her baby tightly as they fell, cushioning her daughter from the impact and likely helping save her life.

A witness reported hearing Nathaly pleading moments before the fall. Police are investigating her death as a homicide and are looking to speak with her ex-boyfriend. No arrests have been announced.

Behind this headline was a 23-year-old mother with an entire life ahead of her, and a little girl who now has to grow up without her mom.

THEY WERE ONLY 21 AND 23 — TWO YOUNG MEN WENT TO A HOMECOMING CELEBRATION AND NEVER CAME HOME. 💔
Jaquevion Jackson was 21.
Macaleb Jackson was 23.
Their lives should have been moving forward.
Instead, both were killed after gunfire erupted during a massive homecoming weekend gathering in Vienna, Georgia.
Authorities say more than 1,000 people had gathered near Pine Street when the celebration suddenly descended into chaos around 1:25 a.m.
More than 50 shots were reportedly fired.
People ran.
Friends searched for one another.
Some people were injured by gunfire, while others were reportedly hurt while trying to escape.
Authorities estimate that approximately 35 people were injured overall.
And in the middle of that chaos were Jaquevion and Macaleb.
Two young men who now will never celebrate another birthday.
Never attend another family gathering.
Never make another ordinary memory.
Investigators have not publicly determined what sparked the shooting or identified a suspect in the information provided.
That leaves their families facing a painful wait for answers.
Who started the violence?
How many shooters were involved?
Were Jaquevion and Macaleb targeted?
Or were they simply caught in the middle?
With such a large crowd present, investigators are urging anyone who witnessed something or captured video to come forward.
One piece of information could help explain what happened.
But no answer can bring these two young men back.

Edi Mari Hernandez Chacon was walking alongside her sister when police say a stranger approached her on a Chicago sidewalk.

The seven-year-old was attacked and seriously injured before witnesses rushed to help.

She was taken to the hospital, but doctors could not save her.

A woman was later detained after witnesses reportedly followed her and prevented her from leaving until police arrived.

Investigators are now working to establish exactly what happened and why Edi was targeted.

But behind the investigation is a grieving family mourning a little girl who should have had a lifetime ahead of her.

Edi was someone's daughter. Someone's sister. A child who deserved to grow up.
