Birmingham is once again on a national stage.
Today’s Wall Street Journal op-ed, co-authored by Mayor Randall Woodfin and Tulsa Mayor Monroe Nichols, highlights the momentum building in Birmingham and the opportunities shaping the future of our city. From bioscience and entrepreneurship to workforce development and transformational investment, the piece reinforces what so many of us already know: Birmingham is a city on the rise.
This national recognition is also a reflection of the intentional partnership strategy that continues to elevate Birmingham’s story across the country. What began through relationship-building and collaboration between Birmingham, Tulsa, and the George Kaiser Family Foundation evolved into a powerful joint op-ed showcasing the strength and potential of both cities.
At Prosper, we are proud to support this work and remain committed to our mission of ensuring Birmingham becomes the most thriving and inclusive economy in the Southeast. Through collaboration between public, private, philanthropic, and community leaders, we are continuing to build an economy where opportunity is accessible to everyone.
We’re grateful for leaders like Mayor Woodfin and Mayor Nichols for continuing to elevate Birmingham and Tulsa on a national stage while helping tell the story of two cities shaped by resilience, innovation, and opportunity.
