Our Mind Grown Afterschool Club had the BEST time practicing GRATITUDE, adding LEAVES to our GRATITUDE TREE, and making their own GRATITUDE JOURNALS! Of course, we LOVE it when our students HAVE FUN while improving their SEL skills!

Today, I am grateful for our SCHOOLS that PRIORITIZE students emotional and mental health!

Today we want to say THANK YOU to all of our followers on social media!!

Another way to help us help others is to LIKE and SHARE our posts on social media! It takes just a click or two and it makes a HUGE DIFFERENCE!!

Non-profits like us rely on the SUPPORT from our COMMUNITY in so many ways! Of course, fundraising is one of the big ways people in our community show support, but there are so many other ways that also create IMPACT! So today and every day, we are so thankful for every LIKE, SHARE, DONOR and CONTRIBUTIONS- there is no such thing as a small contribution…they all make a difference!

At Mind Grown, we are GRATEFUL for ALL of our Students! They all have so many GIFTS, TRAITS, and TALENTS…or as we like to call them SUPERPOWERS!!

🍁$120 sponsors a student for the full term (9 weeks per session and materials)

🍁$200 Covers the costs of materials and programming for ALL students for one session (based on a class of 20 students)

🍁 $1,800 covers the cost of ALL ACTIVITIES for ALL STUDENTS for the ENTIRE SEMESTER!!!

Throughout November, we will be sharing lots of amazing things our students do with the help of our generous donors and grants!

One of our favorite classes is about GRATITUDE. Check out this short video to see how our students have helped our gratitude tree grow from a few leaves 🍁🍁to this amazing tree!

Throughout this month, you can show your gratitude to someone or many in your life by purchasing a leaf 🍁 (or more 🙂)in their honor. For $5 you can tell someone how grateful you are for them AND support our Mind Grown after school club at a Birmingham City Elementary School!

We LOVE seeing all the 1st day of school posts from all our friends and schools in our community! As you know, even public school parents have a lot to buy to get their students ready to learn and grow each year! And that’s just for IN SCHOOL activities!

We are partnering with Avondale Elementary’s PTA this year to offer Coaching for Kids programming after school. In order to do this…WE NEED YOUR HELP!

These after school programs help students in so many ways (developing confidence, conflict resolution, cooperation and team building, etc) in a safe environment.

Please consider contributing to this program so we can empower our local students. And if you work for a company that provides matching gifts, we would appreciate you considering us as well!
