If I Weren’t a Missionary
By Anna Glenn on Nov 02, 2023 07:02 pm

If I weren’t a missionary, my life would be so much easier.
I’d find just one place to call home, which would be far superior.
If I weren’t a missionary, I wouldn’t feel the pressure of so many eyes on me,
But maybe that’s what I needed to finally allow You to set me free.
If I weren’t a missionary, I wouldn’t have to learn a whole new way to speak,
But maybe I also wouldn’t have learned what God says about the meek.
If I weren’t a missionary, I might feel more free to speak whatever is on my mind.
But I certainly wouldn’t have learned to listen, and I’d probably still be walking around blind.
If I weren’t a missionary, I wouldn’t feel so naked and stripped of all I once was and knew,
But I might not have uncovered all the lies I once believed to be true.
If I weren’t a missionary, I might still have a social life filled to the brim,
But would I have ever learned to find my identity in Him?
If I weren’t a missionary, maybe I wouldn’t feel so alone,
But maybe I’d still be marching around with a heart of stone.
If I weren’t a missionary, I’d probably still be eating every meal with a fork and knife.
But would I have learned to hunger so much for the bread of life?
If I weren’t a missionary, I wouldn’t always feel so inadequate and weak,
But perhaps I would never have realized how often you were inviting me to seek.
If I weren’t a missionary, maybe I wouldn’t feel so much like I’m on the outside looking in,
But I also wouldn’t have realized how quickly people I barely know can become kin.
If I weren’t a missionary, maybe I wouldn’t have to worry so much about money,
But would I have realized that His promises are sweeter than honey?
If I weren’t a missionary, maybe I’d feel like I actually had a place to call home,
But perhaps then I’d never truly know the pain of those who have to roam.
If I weren’t a missionary, maybe tears wouldn’t stream so often down my face,
But would I still know the real goodness of His grace?
If I weren’t a missionary, there might be a million struggles I never had to face,
But would I truly know the comforting warmth of His embrace?
If I weren’t a missionary,
I sometimes wonder what my life would be.
I like to let myself think that all of this is unique to being overseas.
But the truth is, it’s for all who answer the call to “Follow me.”
The call to missions isn’t just for a select few who get on planes and trains,
It’s for all those who bow down before His Name.
The ways He works to bring glory to His name may be different from place to place,
But the end goal is for people of every nation and race to seek His face.
When things are hard out here, I find myself looking around for somewhere else to be,
But every time God reaches down and speaks right back to me.
More of you and less of me, whether here or there, that’s how I want it to be,
Even if I had never become a missionary.

Cooied from a friend and agree wholeheartedly:

Do not be mistaken, Our God is not meek.

Nor is He asleep at the wheel.

Jesus, the Son of God, is often portrayed as weak and frail. He is anything but. In the first and last chapters of the Bible, He is described as the “lion of the tribe of Judah”. It says, “Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, HAS triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals’” (Revelation 5:5).

No man who is frail could endure the pain he endured on the darkest day in history when he bore all of our sins and infirmities on The Cross.

He IS The Lion of Judah.

He is The Victor.

On the other hand, Satan is often portrayed as the strong one when he is a fake. Read what the Word says when it states “Your enemy, the devil prowls around LIKE a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.”

He prowls around LIKE a Lion.

A pretend.

A fake.

He is not THE Lion.

Satan is very clearly on the prowl. is and always has been the target because they are Gods beloved people. But Jesus is not asleep on the job. Hell still knows that He has already won the victory. He will restore what has been stolen by evil. He will turn it for their good and His Glory.

But we must pray for our brothers and sisters and for our own nation. We must not relent. He did not create us to be weak and to cave to fear because He is not weak and He knows no fear. We are created in His Image. Thus, we must rise up in these moments and storm the gates of hell. We must stop living in defensive mode and take up the offense as we pray and battle in the spirit like never before.

For Israel.
For America.
For our children.
For Israel’s children.

He is the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. And there will be hell to pay for those that violate and desecrate His Chosen People.

I am on the side of the Warrior King and will pray as the warrior He has called me to be. I am calling on all believers to do the same. The Lion goes before you so storm the gates of hell with confident conviction. Remind hell who already owns the victory.

𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐆𝐨𝐝,

You’re still high and lifted up.

You’re still seated on The Throne.

When all hope looks lost, you are still The Almighty.

You are not asleep at the wheel.

You love your people with a love that has no end.

You have called the Jewish people your chosen ones.

We lift them up to you Father and pray protection and the blood of Jesus over your Beloved.

Help all of your people feel the righteous anger you have for your beloved children and their suffering. Break our hearts for what breaks yours so that we will stand and fight in your name as you’ve called us to do.

I thank you that you will take what was intended for your chosen ones evil and turn it for their good and your glory. You will restore what has been stolen and give back what the locusts have eaten. I know this because your promises are “Yes and Amen in Your Name” and you are incapable of lies.

All praise to 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐀𝐌𝐄 that is above all other names. To the One that every knee must bow to….God our Father. The Lion of Judah.

Just a few more pics from Pakistan. It was an incredible trip. The mountains reminded me of Nepal but with a different cultueral flair. The hospitality of the people is amazing. Looking forward to having more interactions with these dear people.
May the name of Jesus be made known among all peoples!

Just a small taste of the travel we have been doing in Pakistan. It definately keeps your prayer life active! We are down from the really tall mountains but still have another 10 hours of driving (on slightly better roads) to get back to Islamabad to catch out flight. Amazing place, amazing people!

Pakistan is a beautiful country! Headed up further into the mountains today.
