🌱 Progress is growing at the Kingston Teaching Farm! 💚
We’re preparing for some BIG renovations later this year, and today we took the first major step! Thanks to our incredible partnership with UAB Live HealthSmart Alabama and an awesome group of UAB student volunteers, we accomplished SO much in just two hours. 🙌🏾
From 10 AM–12 PM, our volunteers helped us reorganize our shed, break down all 12 of our old garden beds, and clear away much of the weeds, soil, and debris. And on a HOT Alabama day! ☀️💪🏾
There’s still work to do, but just look at these BEFORE & AFTERS! 👀➡️ What would have taken us days to accomplish on our own became tremendous progress because people showed up ready to serve.
We’re incredibly grateful for how our partnership with Live HealthSmart Alabama has continued to grow over the years and for their ongoing support of the work we’re doing in our community. 💚
This is only the beginning! 🌱 Our goal is to create a more efficient, sustainable, and youth-friendly teaching garden for years to come.
Stay tuned for the renovation AND more volunteer opportunities! 🪴🔨✨
