BiG Game Night was a BLAST! 🤩🎯

They had a fun-filled night of basketball, Jenga, Uno, Connect4, Guess Who, and lots of other fun games! Thank you so much to our volunteers who help us continue to be able to put together all of our BiG Night Outs. And a very special thanks to Hunter Street Baptist Church for so graciously hosting us in their space. We are so thankful!

Be on the lookout for another AWESOME BiG Night out in September…🪩🎶

Our Citizen of the Month for September is JACK! ⭐️

Jack is one of our newest Citizens to join us here at BiG, but he has already greatly impacted us during his short time here. He is such an intentional and kind friend, and he never fails to warm our hearts with his sweet and gentle voice! Jack is a hard worker and is always ready to put his best foot forward in enterprise! We are so grateful to have him at BiG!

With an increase in more specialized medical needs, the BiG family is looking to add a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) to our team! 🩺

It was a blessing to have these four amazing drop-in Citizens join us at BiG this summer! They are all such amazing workers and are full of so much joy and personality. We sure will miss them now that school is starting back! ✏️🍎

Our Citizen of the month for August is our amazing Omead! ⭐️

Omead is a man of many talents, including photoshop and a memory that is absolutely mindblowing! His gentle spirit and kind eyes bring a peaceful presence to BiG. He is such a great friend to everyone around him. We are so thankful that he is apart of our BiG family!

The news is out... we are hosting our very FIRST overnight camp at Hargis Christian Camp! 🏕️

Thanks to a generous donation from The Sandlin Foundation (), we are able to host a weekend of fun for 30 campers free of charge!

Camp is open to Birmingham area individuals with disabilities (ages 14+). All camp applications must be submitted by August 19th. A submitted application does not guarantee your loved one a spot. Since camp is free of charge, Campers will be chosen based on a lottery system to ensure that it is a fair opportunity for all applicants. The lottery will be selected on Friday, August 21st.

We are so excited for this opportunity, and we can't wait for a fun-filled weekend with our campers!
