My 2026 Guild Challenge was rather easy for a change! Candy Frederick (the challenge chair) had us draw from 4 containers to determine what we would weave for the Challenge. I drew 1) Fiber=Cotton; 2) Color=Multi; 3) Weave Structure=Plain Weave; and 4) Finishing=Fringe. Below are the two little cotton towels I wove on a 15" Cricket rigid heddle loom for my Challenge. Warp was 8/4 cotton sett at 8 epi; weft was peaches 'n cream cotton; overhand knots.

After a short business meeting from 10-10:30 am on April 18th, registered students will be participating in a basket weaving workshop for most of the day. Don’t forget to bring lunch and drinks. It’s going to be a fun time! The workshop will be held in the regular meeting room at the Birchwood Community Center.
