This is one of my favorite parts of what we do. 🇺🇸💈

There’s something special about being able to use a skill I’ve spent years building to give back to the people in our community—especially our local veterans.

For me, it’s never just a haircut. It’s a chance to sit down together, share some laughs, hear a few stories, and hopefully make someone feel a little better walking out than they did walking in.

Through Clean Cut Futures, I’m incredibly grateful that we continue to have opportunities like this to serve our local veterans. These men and women have given so much, and being able to give a little of our time and talent back to them is something we don’t take for granted.

This is exactly why Clean Cut Futures exists: using something as simple as a haircut to create connection, restore dignity, and remind people that their community sees them and appreciates them.

To our veterans—thank you for your service, your stories, your laughs, and for trusting us with your hair. It’s truly our privilege. 🇺🇸

We had the BEST day today supporting some of our community’s youth during First Day Fresh!

THANK YOU to all of the stylists at the JCPenney Salon, and the barbers from True North Barbershop who donated their time today.

THANK YOU to Tandem Consulting, Tiger Construction, WECU, Chuckanut Health Foundation, Sunrise Rotary, JCPenney, Avenue Bread, Firefighters Local 106, Whatcom County Deputy Sheriff’s Guild, and all of the individual community members for the financial support that made this event possible!!

We can’t stop, won’t stop!! That’s right… after a VERY successful car show and community cook-off we are on to planning our next event!!

But we need YOUR help!

In just 3 weeks we need to raise another $4,000 to pull off our annual First Day Fresh event!

This is an event close to our hearts. We partner 25 local students who have been victimized by crime with vetted adults who will take them on a full afternoon of shopping at the Bellis Fair Mall in Bellingham to get ready mentally and physically for their new school year.

Any donation, large or small, help us pull this event together and show our local youth that their community cares and they are seen 💕

My oh my!!! Did the community ever show up today!!!

We can’t thank everyone enough for coming and having lunch with our first responders today. I think I speak for everyone when I say it was a HUGE success! A special thanks to Dairy Queen for providing 600 hotdogs and hamburgers, and to Dave and Allan from KAFE 104.1 for coming and doing the hard task of judging and the rib cook-off!

All proceeds from today benefit our First Day Fresh event that supports local youth who have been victims of crime, and we raised $3,048!! That means the money raised today covers the full cost for 10 kids in our program; building confidence and spreading hope to some of those kids most in need of it 💕 For more information, or to support our cause, check out our website. www.cleancutfutures.org
