While STSC calls Binghamton home, our singers travel from across the region—including Ithaca, Oneonta, Elmira, and Northeast Pennsylvania—to rehearse, collaborate, and create meaningful musical experiences for our community.

A glimpse inside rehearsal as the Southern Tier Singers’ Collective prepares Morten Lauridsen’s Soneto de la Noche for this Saturday’s concert, Forging the Path.

Set to a beautiful poem by Pablo Neruda, Lauridsen’s music shimmers with warmth, mystery, and longing—guiding listeners through the stillness of night toward hope and light.

Join us for an evening of inspiring choral music, including the world premiere of Until Dawn, the winning work of our Young Composers Competition.

Congratulations to STSC member Kodylynn Perkins on her new role as Performing Arts Specialist at The Discovery Center!!!

We’re proud to sing alongside such a talented educator, artist, and advocate for the arts. Wishing you great success in this exciting new chapter!

We are thrilled to introduce Kodylynn Perkins, M.M., our new Performing Arts Specialist!

An award-winning soprano and versatile arts leader, Kodylynn brings over a decade of experience in program coordination and community outreach to our team. With a Master of Music from Binghamton University and a background ranging from higher education instruction to directing youth musical theatre, she excels at blending administrative precision with creative vision.

Kodylynn is passionate about the "lightbulb moments" that happen through storytelling and creative play. She loves that The Discovery Center is a place where imagination is the top priority and is looking forward to being part of a place where every kid feels like they’re part of something truly special.

You’ll see Kodylynn’s expertise in action soon as she helps lead our new Music in the Garden series this summer, along with several other exciting new programs in the works.

On a break from Southern Tier Singers' Collective rehearsal, Artistic Director William Culverhouse sat down with 2026 STSC Composition Competition winner Nicholas Catarella to discuss Until Dawn, Nicholas's original composition that will receive its world premiere at Southern Tier Singers' Collective Presents: Forging the Path.

One of the most rewarding parts of our competition is connecting emerging composers with experienced artists who can help bring new music to life. We're proud to celebrate Nicholas's creativity and excited to share Until Dawn with our audience this Saturday!
