The first Greater Finger Lakes Council CSPs are here!

Our new Council Shoulder Patch is now available for $5 at both the Rochester Service Center and Southern Tier Service Center. Just ask for them at the front desk!

This first release includes a special “Charter Member” edition, available in limited quantities to recognize the beginning of the Greater Finger Lakes Council.

If you want one of the very first CSPs representing our new council, don’t wait—once the Charter Member patches are gone, they’re gone.

Congratulations to Pack 24 & Troop 24 of Dryden!

Pack 24 and Troop 24 have officially completed their first year of Adopt-A-School service with Dryden Elementary School and Dryden Middle School!

Over the course of the year, the Scouts completed four service projects for each school, giving their time and talents to help support the students, staff, and school community.

To recognize this special partnership, each school was presented with an Adopt-A-School sign to proudly display in their window, and Pack 24 and Troop 24 each received a ribbon for their unit flag recognizing their year of service.

Even more exciting, Pack 24, Troop 24, Dryden Elementary, and Dryden Middle School have all agreed to continue their Adopt-A-School partnership for another year! We are so grateful for their commitment to working together and continuing to make a difference in the Dryden community.

This is what Scouting is all about... service, citizenship, teamwork, and giving back to the communities we call home.

A huge thank you to the Scouts, leaders, families, and school staff who helped make this first year such a success. We can’t wait to see what they accomplish together in year two!

Congratulations, Pack 24 and Troop 24, and thank you for showing what it means to live the Scout Oath and Law through service!

Pack 100 Adopts Barry Elementary!

We’re excited to share that Cub Scout Pack 100 in Cortland has officially adopted Barry Elementary School through Scouting America’s Adopt-A-School program!

This morning, Cubmaster Bonnie Quackenbush and Barry Elementary Assistant Principal Megan Bottle signed the Adopt-A-School pledge, committing Pack 100 to completing at least four service projects at the school throughout the coming year.

Pack 100 is already planning some great ways to give back, including:

🌷 Maintaining the flower beds around the school sign and flagpole
📚 Updating and caring for the school’s book-sharing shelf
🏫 Helping with a couple of school functions throughout the year
🤝 Finding additional ways to serve the Barry Elementary community

This partnership is a wonderful opportunity for our Cub Scouts to learn that being a Scout means more than having fun and learning new skills, it also means helping others and taking care of our community.

A huge thank you to Bonnie, Megan, Principal Rolewicz, Barry Elementary, and all of the Pack 100 families for making this partnership possible. We can’t wait to see what Pack 100 accomplishes during their first Adopt-A-School year!

Great job, Pack 100!
