Grief can feel isolating, especially for teens navigating the loss of someone they love. If you know a teen who has been impacted by the loss of a friend, family member, or any loved one due to substance use, they don’t have to carry that grief alone ❤️‍🩹

Thanks to our collaboration with Children and Families Counseling Services, this supportive group offers a safe space to connect with other teens, share experiences, build coping skills, and find hope alongside others who understand.

We need your help! Each year we select a poem that we use as inspiration and to strengthen the message of our theme for the event. This year, we would love to see poems centering around the unhoused and needing to recognize the value of humans. During current times, we find it so important to speak on not leaving people behind who the systems have failed. The value of centering conversation on lived experience and family voices as experts is more prevalent than ever.

I hope to see many friends in Denver at the National Opioid Settlement Conference. I'll be on a roundtable with other discussing the importance of getting Opioid Settlement Funds as close to the community as possible through support of grassroots and community based organizations.

Only 3.5% of NYS distributed Opioid Settlement funds have reached the community! This is something NYS OASAS needs to correct. We've provided them many ideas and tools to correct the issue. Let's hope they start using some!
