A little reminder to follow City Code standards.
As well as an Awesome way for students to give back to the community.
With the semester winding down, many students are preparing to move out of off-campus housing for the summer.
Please remember the City's refuse collection rules still apply. The City will be enforcing its Code as it relates to trash and garbage, and failure to comply may result in violations and/or fees. As a reminder:
• All garbage must be placed in official blue City garbage bags.
• Any bulk trash items too large to fit inside an official City bag (couches, mattresses, tables, etc.) can be left at the curb for pickup on your normal collection day. No more than three bulk items should be left at the curb at one time.
• Trash and garbage should be placed at the curb no earlier than 6 p.m. the evening prior to your collection day.
Lastly, if you're a student, consider connecting with the Binghamton Move Out Project to donate items in good condition to community members in need. You can sign up for a time to have volunteers from the Move Out Project pick up your items now through May 15.
