It’s that time again! The SDCLT will be hosting a fall Ambassador Program. If you or someone you know is looking for an opportunity to get engaged in community leadership and housing justice then this program is for you.

Participants will receive a stipend upon program completion and its held virtually via zoom.

I secured $815,000 through the New York Senate’s Local Community Assistant Program (LOCAP) for the Southern Door Community Land Trust, Inc. This funding ensures that the building rehabilitation project at 6 Florence Street is made possible for SDCLT. By supporting this project, we are helping to ensure that affordable housing remains a permanent fixture in our community. The SDCLT is a powerful example of what happens when the community leads the way.

Congratulations to “us” the SDCLT was honored today with an award from the office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Binghamton University. We are grateful for all of the hard work that interns have invested in the Southern Door and we look forward to hosting many more budding entrepreneurs and professionals.

Attention Northside Binghamton Families!🚨Network for a Sustainable Tomorrow (NeST) will be hosting an event to launch a new program called Binghamton Community Power (BCP). This program has three primary focuses: education and capacity building for clean energy, data collection regarding repair, remediation and energy upgrade needs, and supporting renters and homeowners in getting benefits from available programs!

What a time we had today at the SDCLT community cookout!

I want to send a shout out to Mike Community Advocates Restoring Educational Standards for lending his culinary skills on the grill along with other resources to make our event a hit. Shout out to the SDCLT board members Latoya and Charles for being front and center today.
