๐Ÿฆบ Local 648 Leadership Attends Statewide Safety and Health Conference

CSEA Local 648 President Ray Hallett and Executive Vice President Brendan Barnett spent the weekend in Lake Placid attending the Statewide Safety and Health Conference.

The conference brought together union leaders, safety advocates, and workplace professionals from across New York State to learn about the latest safety practices, employee rights, and strategies for preventing workplace injuries.

Workshops attended included:

โœ… Refuse Unsafe Work: Knowing Your Rights
โœ… Workplace De-Escalation Basics
โœ… Beyond Blame: Investigating the Real Cause
โœ… PESH 101 (Public Employee Safety and Health)

The information and training gained from these sessions will help Local 648 continue advocating for safer workplaces and stronger protections for our members.

The message throughout the conference was clear: every worker deserves a safe workplace and the opportunity to return home safely to their loved ones at the end of each day.

Thank you to CSEA for providing these valuable training opportunities and resources for union leaders across New York State.
