1,568 days.

That’s how long World War I lasted.

As of today, Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine has lasted just as long. Millions displaced, thousands killed, entire cities destroyed — and Europe’s largest war since 1945 is still not over.

💐 The vinok (вінок) holds a profoundly special place in Ukrainian culture, embodying the nation's rich heritage and resilience. Traditionally donned by young unmarried women as a symbol of purity and beauty, the intricate arrangement of flowers and ribbons signifies wishes of prosperity, protection, and limitless potential to its wearer, evolving into a powerful emblem of national pride and identity in modern times.

For the Ukrainian dancer, donning a вінок marks a pivotal milestone, signifying her growth into a more powerful and experienced performer. Wearing a вінок for the first time leaves an indelible mark on a young dancer's journey, fostering an unshakeable sense of accomplishment and deep connection to her roots. 🇺🇦

House passed the Ukraine Support Act, H.R. 2913, yesterday by a vote of 226–195. This critically important legislation will now move to the Senate.

Yesterday’s result would not have been possible without strong support from within Congress, the overwhelming majority of Americans who continue to stand with Ukraine, and the tireless advocacy of UNWLA members, the broader Ukrainian American community, and Ukraine’s allies who contacted their elected officials in support of this legislation.

Let us continue standing together for Ukraine, for the United States, and for the democratic values we all share.

A child should know the sound of bedtime stories.
Not air raid sirens.
A child should learn the way to school.
Not the way to a shelter.
A child should fall asleep holding a toy.
Not wondering if their home will still be there in the morning.
On the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression, we remember Ukraine’s children — the ones stolen by russia’s war, and the ones still growing up beneath it.
Childhood should never be a battlefield.

On June 4, we honour the memory of Ukraine’s children whose lives were taken by Russia’s war.

Since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia killed 707 children, according to Ukrainian authorities. Another 2,548 children have been injured. A total of 2,317 children remain missing, while more than 700,000 Ukrainian children have been forcibly deported.

The real number of child victims is likely much higher. Ongoing combat actions and Russia’s temporary occupation of parts of Ukraine make it impossible to fully document the scale of these crimes.

❤️‍🩹 We remember every child. We demand justice and accountability for every crime committed by Russia.

Critical days ahead for Ukraine support in Congress.

Debate on the Ukraine Support Act (H.R. 2913) is scheduled for Wednesday, with a final House vote expected Thursday if key procedural votes pass.

Several procedural votes must succeed before the bill can advance — and there are active efforts underway to block them.

We urge everyone who supports Ukraine to call their House Representatives today, tomorrow, Wednesday, and Thursday. Even a short, polite voicemail can make a difference.

Josh Riley (202) 225-5441

“As your constituent, I urge you to support the passage of H.R. 2913, the Ukraine Support Act.”

Every call matters. 🇺🇦
