Mercury Desk-Top Publishers is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting multicultural fiction for children, teenagers, and young adults. We foster diversity and creativity by publishing literary works that depict the experiences and aspirations of young readers in various cultural geographies. Established as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, we emphasize accessibility and community engagement in our publishing efforts, and by specializing in multicultural literature for children, we aim to provide a platform for engaging, diverse, borderless, child-centric storytelling.

Focus and Philosophy
We focus on publishing and donating children’s literature that offers culturally rich narratives. Our works feature children in diverse global contexts, emphasizing adventures without the influence of modern technology like the smart phone, the internet, or social media. This approach aims to celebrate the power of imagination and storytelling. We emphasize the significance of socio-cultural diversity through our publications, allowing children to appreciate an endless variety of different cultural traditions and backgrounds.

Community Engagement
Mercury Desk-Top Publishers interact with and support community engagement through community volunteers. This further enhances our mission to democratize multiculturalism and emphasizes the value we place on community participation. Who We Are
Mercury Desk-Top Publishers is a flagship nonprofit multicultural and trilingual publisher of literary fiction for children and young adults. We support and promote unknown writers to produce children's stories in English, Spanish, and French that celebrate multiculturalism, diversity, creativity, and imagination.

Our books capture the colorful experiences, adventures, and aspirations of human and animal personas in non-mainstream cultural settings. Children who read our stories may grow up open-minded, ready to accept cultural, ethnic, political, and social differences, and be prone to exploring their worlds and the worlds beyond their immediate reach with enthusiasm, accommodation, and respect.

Our Philosophy
In this age of the Internet and social media, children need multicultural exposure more than at any other time in human history, and the surest route to this exposure is through multicultural literature. Multicultural literature showcases the traditions and way of life of people who are deemed to fall outside the mainstream of society. This duality exists in all societies where people from diverse cultural, linguistic, socioeconomic, and religious backgrounds cohabit.

Multicultural literature is a powerful tool that can enable people, especially children and young adults, to gain a better understanding of their own culture and the cultures of others. Through this deeper knowledge, relationships can be strengthened, bridging the gap between people from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Our goal is to give our target audience the opportunity to explore distant customs and lore through the eyes of their peers in other cultural settings, with the hope that knowledge of, and respect for, cultural diversity will mold them into young people and adults who are nonjudgemental and who dispel negative stereotypes and personal biases about different linguistic and cultural groups.
