Whether you served our nation, raised a family, guided a child, or simply showed up when someone needed you most, your impact reaches far beyond what you may ever realize.

Today we honor the men who lead, protect, inspire, and help shape future generations.

🇺🇸 RED, WHITE & YOU – HONORING OUR VETERANS 🇺🇸

The City of Gulfport, Island View Casino Resort, and Gulfport Main Street are proud to invite our heroes—our veterans—to join us for a special Independence Day celebration honoring both our Nation’s 250th Birthday and your dedicated service to our country.

On Saturday, July 4, 2026, we will host an All-American Cookout in honor of our veterans. All veterans are warmly invited to attend and enjoy an evening of fellowship, food, and celebration. Active-duty military personnel will also be on hand to serve as hosts, ensuring that our veterans are welcomed and well cared for throughout the event.

The celebration will take place under the Big Top Tent on the South Lawn of The Markham Hotel, located at the corner of 23rd Avenue and the Service Drive in Gulfport, Mississippi.

📅 Saturday, July 4, 2026
🕡 Event Begins: 6:30 PM
🎆 Fireworks Display: Approximately 8:30 PM – 9:00 PM

Guests will enjoy food, refreshments, live music, commemorative memorabilia, and fellowship with fellow veterans and military personnel. The evening will conclude with one of the Mississippi Gulf Coast’s most spectacular fireworks displays.

This invitation was extended by Rebecca Kremer Kajdan, Assistant to the Mayor, City of Gulfport, Mississippi.
