The Mississippi Gulf Coast Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., was chartered on March 19, 1966, at the former Edgewater Hotel in Biloxi, Mississippi. Delta Sigma Theta has always stood for love, inclusion, and respecting the full dignity of every person. While we remain anchored in that legacy, we also acknowledge the need to continue to evolve with intention by championing affirming policies, and forging a culture where every member is seen, valued, and protected.

This Pride Month, we honor and celebrate the beautiful diversity and strength of the LGBTQ+ community and reaffirm our commitment to being allies in the fight for a better future where the freedom to love and exist in one's authentic identity is not contingent on the political climate. Especially when that freedom is being challenged, we choose to show up louder, love harder, and stand firmer in our commitment to justice for all.

Congratulations to our Center for New Opportunities Teacher of the Year, Dr. Deidre Wyatt!

Dr. Wyatt has twenty-four years of experience in education. She has been a dedicated member of the Biloxi Public School District since 2019, bringing passion, expertise, and heart to everything she does. For the past year and a half, she has served as the ISR instructor. In addition to her teaching role, Dr. Wyatt also goes above and beyond as the ISR bus driver, safely transporting students between the HS/JH campus and the CNO campus each day. Her unwavering dedication, kindness, and willingness to serve wherever she is needed make her an invaluable part of our school community. She gives so much to her students, leads with compassion, and inspires everyone around her. Dr. Wyatt is truly an extraordinary educator and an even more extraordinary person.
