Grab your mom, your sister, your best friend, or your favorite group of girls. Friday night is calling, and we have plans! 👒📚

We encourage dressing in Victorian or civil war era costumes and we will have a preshow event where we will serve specialty drinks themed for our sweet sisters.

SHINE THEATER IS LOOKING FOR A VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR!

It takes more than what happens on stage to bring a production to life. From welcoming our audience to keeping concessions running and making sure the theater is ready for the next performance, our volunteers are an essential part of everything we do at Shine!

We’re looking for an organized, dependable, people oriented individual to serve as our Volunteer Coordinator and help make each production a success.

✨ What Does This Role Involve?

🎟️ Front of House: Scheduling volunteers to welcome guests, assist patrons, and help create a great audience experience.

🍿 Concessions: Coordinating concession volunteers and potentially helping oversee inventory and restocking.

🧹 Post Show Cleanup: Organizing volunteers to help clean and reset the theater after performances.

📣 Volunteer Communication: Keeping volunteers informed about schedules, expectations, and show specific needs.

🤝 Show Support: Working with Shine leadership to identify volunteer needs and help ensure each production runs smoothly behind the scenes.

❤️ A Little About the Position

This is an unpaid volunteer leadership position, but it is an integral part of every show we put on at Shine. We’re looking for someone who loves bringing people together, takes initiative, and wants to make a difference in our theater community.

At Shine, we’re about more than theater. We’re building community, creating meaningful experiences, and using the arts to make a difference.

You don’t have to be on stage to help create the magic. Sometimes, the most important work happens behind the scenes!

Every show starts somewhere.

Before the costumes.
Before the lights.
Before the audience takes their seats.

There are scripts, rehearsals, questions, laughter, and a whole lot of work happening behind the scenes.

And slowly, a story begins to come to life.

Little Women is coming together one rehearsal at a time. ❤️

Sometimes rehearsal is all music, choreography, blocking and notes……and sometimes somebody says ONE thing and it’s over....

These are the moments you don’t see on stage, but they’re a huge part of what makes Shine feel like Shine. ❤️

We’re working hard on Little Women… but we’re having a whole lot of fun doing it, too.
