✨ Opening Night at MINT 2025 ✨
Thursday, Sept 18 at 5:30 PM

We’re kicking off the festival with two powerful stories about family and second chances.

The short SECOND SUNRISE introduces a man struggling to reconnect with his daughter while confronting the weight of his past.

It’s followed by the Montana premiere of OMAHA, fresh from Sundance — the story of a father (John Magaro) on a road trip across the American West with his two children, searching for hope in the midst of hardship. Produced by Billings-native Preston Lee, who will join us for a post-film Q&A.

Stay after the screening for our Opening Night Reception at Art House Cinema & Pub.

Don’t miss the first night of MINT 2025 — tickets and passes available now.

Two stories, one screening.
Friday, Sept 19 at 4:45 PM

The animated short WHEN THE MOON RETURNS is a poetic story about tradition, sacrifice, and the weight of choices that shape a life.

It’s followed by the documentary feature THE ROAD ANGEL, the story of Danielle Egnew — former frontwoman of cult indie band Pope Jane — now renowned for her intuitive gifts. Sent by her “angelic team” on a road trip to Red Lodge, Montana, Danielle uncovers a mission only she can fulfill. Stay for a post-film Q&A with the filmmakers.

POW! — a kid scrambles to charge his game console at a busy powwow.

ANADARKO — a glimpse into the reality of a 20-year-old Indigenous boy.

NIITSITAPI — exploring the shared language, culture, and land of the Blackfoot Confederacy.

COYWOLF — visions of heritage and self-discovery emerge after a night gone wrong.

FISTFUL OF VODKA — a stranger’s vendetta ignites conflict in a Yukon town.

See these stories come alive on the big screen, followed by a Q&A with a few of the filmmakers. Get tickets:
