The BAA is a Section of the Montana Chapter of the American Institute of Architects serving the City of Billings and its immediate surrounding area. The

We invite you to enjoy the benefits of membership such as continuing education seminars, tours, parties, awards and fellowship. You are also invited to the Meeting in the Mountains, the BAA’s flagship event held each spring. The MITM features world class speakers from varied backgrounds who will educate, challenge, and inspire you. We welcome your input and hope your visit here is an encouragement.

2026 Celebrate Architecture Design Competition - Due March 20

The Billings Architectural Association is proud to be partnering with the Downtown Billings Alliance (DBA) for this year’s Celebrate Architecture Design Competition. The competition is to design a public plaza for the northeast corner of 1st Avenue North and North 29th Street in downtown Billings, MT.

This year's Meeting in the Mountains is happening on April 9-10th.
For 2026 our theme is: Contextual Community. We’re bringing together keynote speakers from across the country, and each is addressing how they design contextually for communities within their respective regions.

The Billings Architecture Association is looking for highlights of your outstanding work to be displayed at the AIA Montana Design Conference and invite your firm to be part of our presence at the event!

Please submit up to 5 images completed or built with the last 5 years.
Include project name, location, and completion year. Submission’s due by 9/10/2025.
