Kids In Motion “KIM” is an active transportation educational program, encouraging young people and their families in the Billings Community to make economic and healthy transportation choices to reach schools, their friends’ homes, and stores. KIM is sponsored by St. Vincent Healthcare and facilitated by Billings Public Schools, The Education Foundation, The City of Billings, and other community p

artners. Started by AmeriCorps VISTA members, KIM is the main component of the “Alternative Modes Outreach and Education” project and is directly overseen by the City-County Planning Division. KIM’s main efforts surround facilitating educational bicycle tune-up clinics for lower income students and developing community-focused active transportation educational materials. Disclaimer:

Happy 10 years to KIM! We celebrated our 10th anniversary with a bike clinic at Sandstone Elementary on May 15 - exactly 10 years after we had our first clinic at Sandstone Elementary on May 15, 2015! Over the past 10 years, we have worked on more than 2,000 bikes!

Thanks to everyone who has made KIM possible, from its founders, to mechanics who come back season after season, to Intermountain Health who gave the initial donation to get KIM off the ground and the Mary Alice Fortin Foundation who also gave a significant donation, to all of our partners including the Education Foundation for Billings Public Schools, Billings Public Schools, and Billings Planning & Community Services Department!

Here's to the next 10 years!
