Public land dodged a bullet.
For now.
Mike Lee’s latest attack on Grand Staircase-Escalante just hit a wall, but don’t expect him to quit.
Stay loud. Stay engaged.
Pressure works.

This is not how a winning business deal looks.

The Trump administration just held a controversial oil and gas lease sale in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

Most major oil companies didn’t even bother showing up.
Instead, taxpayers got stuck watching a state-backed corporation bid on the leases alongside a company it previously helped finance.

Alaskans, you paid for this.

If you heard a random scream echoing across America today, this is probably why.
Millions of Americans are pi**ed that Sen. Mike Lee and 10 fellow Republicans voted to kill the Roadless Rule.

This morning 11 Republican members of the Senate Energy & Natural Resources Committee (and ONLY Republicans) supported a controversial plan by Sen. Mike Lee, R-Mole Rat, to eliminate the Roadless Rule.

Do any of these senators represent you?
They just voted AGAINST public lands, hunting and fishing:

Mike Lee (Utah), John Barrasso (Wyoming), Jim Risch (Idaho), Steve Daines (Montana), Tom Cotton (Arkansas), David McCormick (Pennsylvania), Jim Justice (West Virginia), Bill Cassidy (Louisiana), Cindy Hyde Smith (Mississippi), Lisa Murkowski (Alaska), and John Hoeven (North Dakota).

While this unfortunately passed out of committee we still have an opportunity to beat this ill-fated idea when it goes in front of the full Senate for a final vote.

Tag your reps in this post, go on their own social pages, and call at 202-224-3121. Your voice matters but only if you use it!

There’s a reason America has over 500,000 abandoned mines.
For more than 150 years, mining companies have benefited from an outdated law that lets them extract public resources with far less accountability than other industries.

The result? Toxic messes, cleanup costs, and taxpayers left holding the bag.

Congress needs to reform the 1872 Mining Act.
Public lands belong to all of us. Let’s start treating them that way.

Only TWO oil companies show up to bid on drilling rights in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

A congressional hearing gets awkward with a tough question. And why you should never mess with a mama crane… even if you’re grizzly bear.

This Friday, June 5, part of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge is being offered up for oil and gas leasing.

If they can industrialize the crown jewel of America’s wildlife refuge system, nowhere is safe.
Tell the oil and gas industry: HELL NO.

You can put lipstick on a pig.
It’s still a pig.

The administration is obviously feeling the heat and felt compelled to put some lipstick on the pig they continue to make of our public land, waters and wildlife.

Hunters and anglers, we salute you! 🫡 Keep up the pressure!

Follow if you’re tired of politicians treating hunters and anglers like fools while they chip away at our public lands and wildlife.
