A huge thank you to the entire team at DieHard RC in Snohomish, WA for hosting the 2026 ROAR Racing Region 11 1/8 Off-Road Regional Championship, August 28โ30.
With nearly 170 entries, a challenging weekend of weather, and some of the fastest 1/8-scale racers in the Northwest battling for Regional titles, DieHard delivered another championship weekend to remember.
And once again, ROAR Championship racing gave us plenty of stories that show why these events are so special.

One of the most remarkable things about this year's championship was just how difficult it was for anyone to repeat.
Despite valiant efforts from several of the 2025 champions who returned to defend their titles, ๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐ฎ ๐๐ก๐๐จ๐จ ๐๐ง๐ค๐ฌ๐ฃ๐๐ ๐ ๐ฃ๐๐ฌ ๐๐๐๐๐ค๐ฃ๐๐ก ๐พ๐๐๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ค๐ฃ in 2026.
Several of those new champions also showed exactly what it takes to win a ROAR Regional: converting a TQ into a Sunday victory in the long mains, while overcoming the adversity that inevitably comes with 45 minutes of 1/8-scale racing.
TQ'ing is one thing. Surviving the main, managing the pressure, and putting together the complete race is another. This year's champions proved they could do all three.

The next generation of Region 11 racers continues to make its presence feltโand the 2026 1/8 Off-Road Regionals were another fantastic example.
12-year-old ๐๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ captured the 1/8 Scale Junior Championship, while even younger racers were making their mark in the open classes.
๐๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ also drove to victory in Open E-Truggy, while ๐ข๐น๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ฎ ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ผ put together an incredible weekend by winning both the Sportsman E-Buggy and Sportsman Nitro Buggy classes.
It's especially exciting to see these young drivers not only participating, but ๐ฌ๐๐ฃ๐ฃ๐๐ฃ๐ at the Regional Championship level. Their success is a great reminder that the future of Region 11 racing is in very good hands.

The Nitro Buggy A-Main delivered exactly what you hope for from a ROAR Regional Championship.
For 45 minutes, the leaders battled within the same lap, with ๐๐๐ซ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ง๐๐ฃ๐ฉ ๐๐ง๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐จ ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ฉ๐ช๐ง๐ฃ๐จ ๐๐ฉ ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐ง๐ค๐ฃ๐ฉ and the outcome remaining in doubt right up to the finish.
At almost any point, it felt like the race could belong to any one of the drivers at the front. Fuel strategy, traffic, mistakes, pit stops, flame outs, and the brutal length of an 1/8-scale main all played their part.
In the end, ๐๐ผ๐๐ต ๐ฆ๐๐ผ๐๐ด๐ต emerged victorious and earned the prestigious 2026 Region 11 Nitro Buggy Championship.
And an absolutely incredible performance from ๐ฆ๐ต๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ผ๐ผ๐ฑ๐น๐๐ป๐ฑ, who backed up his 40+ Nitro Buggy Championship with a ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ-๐ฝ๐น๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ณ๐ถ๐ป๐ถ๐๐ต ๐ฎ๐ด๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐๐ ๐ฎ ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ธ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฒ๐น๐ฑ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ผ๐บ๐ฒ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ด๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ญ๐ญ'๐ ๐ณ๐ฎ๐๐๐ฒ๐๐ ๐๐ผ๐๐ป๐ด ๐ด๐๐ป๐. That's an impressive result by any measure.

Through rain delays, track work, long mains, mechanical adversity and intense competition, the weekend once again demonstrated what makes Regional Championship racing so special.
Congratulations to all of our ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ฅ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ด๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ญ๐ญ ๐ญ/๐ด ๐ข๐ณ๐ณ-๐ฅ๐ผ๐ฎ๐ฑ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ด๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐บ๐ฝ๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐, podium finishers and every racer who came out to compete.
And a final thank you to Brett Wilson & Brenda Wilson, the DieHard RC crew, race officials, dirt crew, volunteers, sponsors, families and everyone who helped make the weekend happen. Nearly 170 entries don't come together without an enormous amount of work behind the scenes.
The names of this year's champions are now permanently etched into the history of ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ฅ ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ด๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ญ๐ญ.
