Annually, the Breakfast Optimist hosts game night on Wednesday nights during the Optimist Children’s Camp. We had a great time interacting with all the campers, staff and VOLUNTEER counselors! We couldn’t do this camp without everyone coming together to make this camp successful!

🏕️ Camper Applications Are Now Open for Optimist Children's Camp 2026! 🏕️

Do you know a child or young adult with special needs who would love a week filled with friendship, adventure, and unforgettable memories?

The Optimist Children's Camp provides a fun, safe, and inclusive camp experience for children and young adults with developmental disabilities ages 8–21. Campers enjoy activities like fishing, hiking, swimming, campfires, games, and so much more—all while building confidence, friendships, and independence.

Lion's Beartooth Mountain Youth Camp near Red Lodge

🎤 Students: Your Voice Could Earn You a Scholarship!

The Billings Breakfast Optimist Club is hosting the Optimist International Oratorical Contest, and we’re inviting local students to participate.

This year’s speech topic:
✨ “The Moment I Realized I Belonged — My Definition of Community.”

Students will deliver a 4–5 minute speech and compete for the chance to advance to higher levels of competition — with college scholarships available.

📚 Who can participate?
Students under age 19 who have not yet completed secondary school.

🗓 Application Deadline:
Monday, March 23 at 5 PM

This is a great opportunity for students to:
• Build confidence in public speaking
• Share their ideas about community
• Compete for scholarships
