Today, we learned one of our Jace Way participants, Evawn, has passed away. News like this brings us right back to losing Jace. We know the heartbreak of missing someone you love and trying to imagine life without them. Cancer is such a cruel disease, and our hearts ache for the families, children, and loved ones left behind.

We’re holding Evawn’s boys and everyone who loved her close in our hearts. We hope her boys will always treasure the special moments they shared with their mom—the laughter, the adventures, and the feeling of being loved.

Our hope is that Live Like Jace helped give them a few unforgettable memories to hold onto through the hardest days.

We wish we could have given them more time. We hope the memories we helped create bring her boys comfort and keep their mom’s love close. ❤️

The Live Like Jace Foundation is honored to introduce our newest Jace Way Program recipient.

It was wonderful meeting Alyssia in Bozeman this week and hearing her story. She loves the beach, so this Christmas will be extra special as she and her children head to North Carolina for a family getaway.

Toes in the sand. Ocean air. Sunrises and sunsets. A fishing trip. Christmas lights. Most importantly, time together. Moments like these are healing in ways that go beyond words.

The foundation was created in honor of Jace VavRosky and his belief in living fully, loving deeply, and making the most of every moment.

In June, the Live Like Jace Foundation met 8-year-old Matty and his family. Despite going through cancer treatment, Matty continues to be kind, joyful, and grateful - identifying five things he’s thankful for every day.

During his Jace Way Program interview, Matty shared that he wanted a “summer of baseball.” Because of treatment, he couldn’t play baseball, but watching the Billings Mustangs, was something he could enjoy.

That very day, the foundation worked with the Billings Mustangs to make his wish come true, providing season tickets for Matty, his mom, and grandmother.

Then came “Matty Day.” Matty and a number of his family and friends joined him at the ballpark. He enjoyed time with the players, played hacky sack with the pitchers during warm-ups, and stood alongside the team for the National Anthem.

Jace was an avid baseball player and helping Matty experience the joy of the game is a meaningful way to carry on Jace’s legacy.

We are incredibly grateful to have been part of Matty’s “summer of baseball.”

Thank You, Luis!

The Live Like Jace Foundation was honored to have Luis, one of our Jace Way Program recipients, volunteer at our recent golf tournament.

Luis has experienced firsthand what it means to have someone step up and support you during a difficult time. We were so grateful that he not only came to help with the tournament but also shared his story and what the Live Like Jace Foundation means to him.

Hearing directly from the people we have been fortunate enough to support is one of the most meaningful parts of what we do. Their stories remind us why we continue to Live Like Jace.
