A generous chef is making 100 meals for us to give out for Thanksgiving. Oscar runs the deli at Parmly Library. These meals will be re-heatable and will need to be picked up from our office the day before Thanksgiving. If you would love some meals, send an email to [email protected] with: 1. Parent first and last name and how many children live with you. 2. Why these meals will really help you. 3. Your favorite Thanksgiving treat or tradition. 4. Number of meals you need. 5. If you were a family in our shelter…the funniest thing that happened while you were in the program.

We can’t wait to catch up with our FP Family. We’ll share ideas, learn from communities across the country, and strengthen the work we’re doing right here in Yellowstone County to prevent and end family homelessness. 💜

We serve families in Yellowstone County, but we don’t work in isolation. Across our national network, nearly 180 Family Promise sites share expertise, proven practices, and resources that help families achieve lasting stability. 💜

What works in one Family Promise community can strengthen the work happening in another. ⭐️

No two communities face family homelessness in exactly the same way.

And while there are five core programs that are utilized across the Family Promise national network, each Family Promise site delivers solutions shaped by the needs of families in its community.

That local expertise is one of Family Promise’s greatest strengths! ⭐️

Family homelessness exists all across the country. But it often goes unseen. It’s an invisible crisis.

More than 1.5 million children experienced homelessness during the 2023-24 school year. Yet most were not living on the streets or in shelters. They were staying in motels or doubled up with others, forms of homelessness that can remain largely invisible to the public.

These families and children experiencing homelessness deserve to be top of mind. Which is exactly why we work every day to serve families in our community.

This week, we’re going to celebrate our work here in Yellowstone County and the work of Family Promise sites across the country.

One of the grandmothers currently in our program is working hard to build a more stable future for herself and her grandchildren. We're proud to walk alongside this hard working lady as she works toward employment, housing, and a brighter future for her grandchildren. 💙
