Family Promise YV

Family Promise YV FPYV is a community of over 30 Billings congregations and 1400 volunteers that provide meals, shelter, guidance, and case management for homeless families.

Every family receives intensive case management support, mentoring, and guidance while they look for jobs and housing. The Family Promise program is about compassion and accountability, and families are expected to work hard to accomplish their goals and regain housing. Our purpose is not to shelter and feed as many people as possible, but rather to have a lasting positive impact on families that

go through our program. In the words of one "graduated" mom who is now living, with her son, in her own home, "Family Promise was hard but it changed my life." Family Promise of Yellowstone Valley also has four transitional housing apartments for families in our program.

🚗💙 One Step Closer to Independence: Bobbi’s Story

Sometimes, a big accomplishment starts with a small step—and for Bobbi, that step was earning her learner’s permit! 🎉

Since coming to Family Promise of Yellowstone Valley, Bobbi has been working toward greater independence and stability for herself and her family. Earning her permit is more than just getting a piece of paper—it represents confidence, determination, and another barrier overcome.

With support from FPYV, Bobbi is gaining real-world driving experience and practicing the skills she needs to become a safe and confident driver. Each time she gets behind the wheel, she is building toward a future where she has more opportunities, more independence, and greater freedom to provide for her family.

We are so proud of the work Bobbi is putting in and the progress she continues to make. ❤️
