🏆 Congratulations to our 2026 Osborne Volunteers of the Year!
The Big Sky State Games is proud to recognize Chris Cook, Keith & Ruth Michel, and Dave Coppock as this year’s Osborne Volunteers of the Year!
Named in honor of BSSG founder Tom Osborne and his family, this award recognizes volunteers who continue the spirit of service, commitment, and enthusiasm that helped build the Big Sky State Games.
🚴 Chris Cook has served as the BSSG Cycling Time Trial Commissioner for 16 years, sharing his passion for cycling, health, and getting people active.
💪 Keith & Ruth Michel have dedicated 11 years to the BSSG Arm Wrestling competition, bringing more than 40 years of experience in the sport and creating a welcoming competition for everyone from first-time participants to world-ranked athletes.
🏃 Dave Coppock has been part of BSSG since the very first Games in 1986 as both an athlete and volunteer. From winning the inaugural BSSG marathon to more than 30 years of volunteering as a timer, official, starter, and announcer, Dave has made an incredible impact on BSSG and athletics across Montana.
Volunteers are at the heart of the Big Sky State Games, and we are incredibly grateful for the time, passion, and dedication Chris, Keith, Ruth, and Dave have given to our athletes and the Games.
