We’re thrilled to be leading Montana’s first Native‑led Financial Opportunity Center®! In partnership with Rural LISC and with support from the Wells Fargo Foundation, NADC is launching integrated career coaching, financial coaching, and income support services at Eagle Seeker Community Center. This milestone strengthens economic mobility, supports workforce growth, and creates long‑term financial opportunity for our community.

Big news for Montana! 🎉

Rural LISC and the Native American Development Corporation (NADC) have officially launched Montana’s first Native-led Financial Opportunity Center® program, bringing career and financial health coaching, and income support services together in one trusted community space.

This milestone is made possible in part by a $1.5 million Wells Fargo Foundation national grant, which is helping LISC expand proven financial mobility strategies to communities across the country.

We’re proud to see this investment supporting local leadership and stronger financial futures. Learn more here: https://www.lisc.org/our-stories/story/lisc-native-american-development-corporation-launch-montanas-first-financial-opportunity-center-to-strengthen-economic-mobility-fuel-local-growth/

Our Art and Tourism Program, Triia is entering a quieter phase as funding and priorities shift, with fewer program-led activities while the team realigns and plans next steps. Triia is not going away, and support for artists and tourism-related businesses will continue through an expanding CDFI Loan Fund. We also thank Tally Monteau for her leadership as she transitions out of her Program Manager role.

If you have questions, please contact Mary Walks Over Ice at [email protected]

Triia is entering a new phase, and we want to share what that means for our community.

As we navigate shifts in funding and priorities, Triia will be moving into a quieter phase for a while. This means fewer program-led activities in the near future as we take time to realign and consider what comes next. This work is still important to us, and Triia is not going away.

We also want to share that Tally Monteau will be transitioning out of her role as Program Manager. We are grateful for the care, creativity, and leadership she has brought to Triia and to the artists, culture bearers, and partners connected to this work.

In the meantime, support for artists and tourism-related businesses continues. Our CDFI Loan Fund will be growing its offerings, with tools, training, and capital available for those building and strengthening their work.

Thank you for being part of this community. We’ll share more as the next chapter takes shape.

If you have any questions, please contact Mary Walks Over Ice at [email protected]

You may not know, but NADC has hosted AmeriCorps volunteers for the past 8 years, including 4 VISTA members. This year, our AmeriCorps VISTA for 2025-2026, Jonah Casale, attended the 2026 ServeMontana Symposium in Helena, MT, in March, where he served on the planning committee for the symposium and was a breakout speaker.

Around 140 AmeriCorps staff/volunteers attended, promoting volunteerism and service, and the importance of AmeriCorps in helping to alleviate poverty in our nation. We are glad NADC was represented at this symposium and the great work VISTA’s do in Montana
