Magic City Cruiser Club

Magic City Cruiser Club We'd rather ride than drive. We also love fenders and thin-mints. It's why we venture out - nature. This club exists for you.

If you have a bike, then this club speaks to you, like that ol’voice that won't go away. You know, the one that keeps humming the theme song from Dallas and reciting the Gettysburg Address over and over again. "Four score and seven years ago, riding the bike was still the best way to go." Honestly, we are here for you, so please dust off that two-wheeled beauty in the garage, pump up the tires, ro

ll her down the driveway, look both ways, and join us. Doesn't matter where or when, it's going to be memorable, inspiring, and just down-right silly. You, your bike, us, and maybe a beer or two. See, we knew you knew the lyrics; don't stop singing.

You know that song by John Paul Young? You know, the one about love in the air? Well, that how we feel about spring! It's lingering! It's "everywhere we look around!"

Why do we love it so much!? Because it means one thing and one thing only - cruising! Yes, that right! The season of cruising is upon us and we love every single sniff! Time to dust off the bikes and oil the chains!

Be sure to visit our friends at Billings Trailnet, who relentlessly pursue our amazing bicycle infrastructure each and everyday! And then call anyone of our city public servants to remind them how much you love the trails in town and how they add tremendous value to our way of life in Billings!

Dearest B-town Family! We got lots to be grateful for - especially the continued trail growth in our Magic City! The latest is one we have to share - the Yellowjacket Trail! A dedicated, paved space to help you pedal from your front door to the top of our amazing Rimrocks! Check out the YouTube video!

Thank you, TrailNet! Thank you, Billings! Enjoy a second helping of sweet potatoes and always remember to look out for fellow cyclists in town!

Let's cruise, Billings!

Words escape us. As far as this club of cruiser-lovers is concerned, Billings just achieved an entirely new level of magic - one that we've dreamt of since we first posse'd up for some wholesome fat-tire cruising almost 15 years ago!

Thank you, Billings! Thank you for believing in the outside-of-the-box ways to better your community! The Magic City looks exponentially more magical while pedaling across the Rimrocks on a safe, dedicated trail! We've already pedaled up to witness several tree ovations in the valley, applauding all the smart decisions that were made in order to get our beloved city to this place of trail-awesomeness!

Words don't really escape us, but the best one we can think of is "beautiful." You're one of the good ones, Billings, and we love you! See you all at the Mustangs game this week.

Billings Cruisers Unite! It’s been a nice hot minute since our last shout out, but there’s been progress in the Magic City - progress with a capital P! We had to set our summer beverage down and log on to spread the news!

More trails to cruise! That’s right, we said it, more trails to cruise in the Magic City!

The breathtaking Skyline Trail is taking shape! Just imagine the finished product! Walkers, runners and bikers will love it!

Weave Construction is busy on the amazing trail that will run along the south side of Highway 3 from the airport to Zimmerman Park. Take in the city, the valley, the Pryors, the Beartooths!

Along with $120,000 in donations from its members, Billings TrailNet contributed $346,000 for engineering, building Phase 1 in 2019, and matching funds for the City of Billings BUILD grant for the Skyline Trail.

We can’t wait! Onward!

Billings! As you can see, we got lotsa snow. But before we shovel the walk, sip on the 3rd cup of coffee, ponder how slow we will go today, let’s check this article out! Snow bikes, sleds, and cross-country skis are at the ready! Let’s keep dreaming of a cruising day for Billings!

We are so thankful for the Yellowstone River Parks Association and the Sindelar Family for the community treasure that is John H. Dover Memorial Park.

The park, at Mary Street and Five Mile Road in Billings Heights, has grown to nearly 600 acres after the family made it possible for YRPA to acquire more land for the park, which opened in 2017 with 120 acres.

Billings TrailNet recently partnered with YRPA on a grant application to Mountain Dew for bike repair stations. The organizations received funds to install a bike repair station at Dover Park, plus others at Zimmerman Park and along the Skyline Trail.

Dover Park is a wonderful community asset that makes our trail system even more special! Read more at: https://www.billingstrailnet.org/john-h-dover-park-is-a-growing-treasure/

DON’T FORGET! Show your support for our local trail system by attending Ales for Trails on Sept. 9 at ZooMontana. Buy tickets to The Best Party in Billings at alesfortrails.com or at The Spoke Shop, The Base Camp or Yellowstone Fitness.

Say it ain't so, Joe!
It's the 3rd of February, and we're all standing knee-deep in no snow! We are just as dumbfounded as you?! What does one do with such weather, you may ask? Well, you know the answer to that question well before it's ever asked! When we're not sledding, we're rolling! Perfect chance to get some sneak-peeks into the upcoming bloom that this Magic City enjoys each year! So, in summation, yes, we miss the snow, but also yes, we'll take 64 F and sunny. Just saying, Joe, just saying.

Cruising Comrades of our Community!

Yes, we know what you're thinking, "where have they been?!" Answer is, "right here, as always!" Yes, summer was warm and very strange, yet despite all the weirdness around us, we managed to keep our tires inflated and our pints foamy. So, as the summer waves goodbye, giving fall its golden opportunity, instead of worry and fear, we can't help but fall deep in love with our magical valley all over again. Cooler temps have brought colorful avenues and, of course, that little bit of snow. No trouble, no worry, cuz our tires are fat and our hearts warm.

Keep cruising, Billings! Find some new trail and keep your masks close by. Be safe, be smart, and be respectful! Together, we're going to make it through this!
