When 85+ amazing volunteers converged on Off The Streets from Faith Chapel recently, they rolled up their sleeves and got to work making life a little better for our residents. ❤️

One of the projects that night was a dog park for residents who arrive with their furry friends. It wasn’t quite finished that evening—but we’re happy to show you the beautiful results! 🐾

And, of course, we had to introduce you to one of the pups who will now get to enjoy this special space.

Isn’t it amazing what happens when people donate their time, energy and talents to make someone else’s life a little better—whether they have two legs or four?

We are feeling incredibly grateful. Thank you to every volunteer who helped make this—and so much more—possible! 💙

🏃‍♀️ MORE THAN 150 RUNNERS. ONE AMAZING COMMUNITY. ❤️

We’re thrilled to share that Off the Streets was the beneficiary of the Quality of Life Run, hosted by the Billings Association of REALTORS® this past weekend!

So many showed up to run, walk and support our mission of partnering with people experiencing homelessness on their journey toward home.

We are incredibly grateful to the Billings Association of REALTORS®, every runner and everyone who helped make this day possible.

Thank you for showing up for Off the Streets! ❤️ This is what community looks like!

Community is a powerful thing—and tonight, we witnessed it in action.

More than 85 volunteers from Faith Chapel rolled up their sleeves at the 4th Avenue Inn, home of Off The Streets, to transform our campus into a place that reflects the hope happening inside its walls every day.

Parking blocks were painted. Fresh parking stripes were laid down. Overgrown shrubs were removed and replaced with beautiful landscaping, rock, and newly planted trees. And perhaps the most inspiring moment of the evening? The first brushstrokes of a stunning two-story mural that will soon serve as a daily reminder of hope for everyone who walks through our doors.

The overwhelming feeling of the night wasn't just accomplishment—it was gratitude. Gratitude for hands willing to serve. Gratitude for a community that believes every person deserves dignity. Gratitude for neighbors who show up and make hope visible.

To every volunteer who gave your time, energy, and heart...thank you. Tonight, you didn't just beautify a campus. You reminded us what community looks like. ❤️

Special thanks to these amazing companies and partners who helped make it all possible! The Good Earth Works Co. & Nursery, Tractor Equipment Co., Studer Construction, Edam's Tire and Automotive, United Rentals, Billings Construction Supply, Gutter Done, Rocky Mountain Compost, Ace Hardware and the talented mural artist, Elyssa Leininger.

Pretty much every Sunday, the Five Gals come down to Off The Streets to feed our guests along with anyone else who needs a meal. They do it as volunteers and even spend precious hours seeking donations in order to make it happen. Days ago, one of the Five Gals died unexpectedly. We are heartbroken and send our thoughts and prayers to all who knew and loved Amber. A Go Fund Me has been set up to cover the cost of her funeral. Let's make that happen. Please, consider donating. 💔🙏🏻

My brother-in-law, Jessy, is facing an unimaginable loss after the sudde… Christopher Irby needs your support for Support for Amber's funeral memorial service

A big thank you to Nick and Jena from MET Transit, who spent time with our residents teaching them how to confidently navigate the public bus system. From learning how to map out routes to understanding how to reload bus passes, the session was practical and empowering.

Brian took the opportunity to ask about employment options, while Elva is looking forward to completing her paratransit paperwork so she can travel more easily with the support of her wheelchair.

The visit wrapped up on a joyful note with a lively rendition of “Wheels on the Bus,” plenty of laughter, and a day well spent.

Cody LaFleur is an Off The Streets success story in so many ways. Last week, he visited our shelter to show our residents what's possible. While at the shelter, he was hired by People Ready, a local company that connects workers with businesses that need support -- everything from construction and manufacturing to retail and hospitality. He's still with People Ready and has risen through the ranks. Cody came to let our guests know that finding work is possible. Stable housing is possible. He's living proof.

For the homeless, there aren't many ways to "pay it forward." Those random acts of kindness were the theme last week at Off The Streets. That's why our shelter guests decided last Friday to pick up garbage bags and spend a few hours cleaning up their corner of the city. One resident said, "Many times, the homeless get a bad rap for making the streets dirty and leaving their garbage behind. We want to show Billings we are good neighbors."

A bed is just the beginning.

At Off The Streets, we’re the only emergency shelter in our community offering dedicated case management—because real change takes more than a place to sleep.

It means walking alongside each person we serve. Setting goals. Connecting them to resources. Helping turn yesterday’s hardships into a path forward.

Because a warm meal and a safe bed matter—but so does having someone in your corner. Case management is where hope takes root. It’s where lives begin to change.

During Yellowstone Valley Gives, you can help Off The Streets make that transformation possible.
