We Need All ATV MN Members To Oppose The Anti-Access Bill

URGENT CALL TO ACTION: Contact Senate Committee – Oppose SF1245 (ATV Access Bill)

Dear ATV Minnesota Members,

We need your help—Senate File 1245 will be heard this Thursday in the Minnesota Senate Environment, Climate, and Legacy Committee, and your voice is critical.

SF1245 would significantly change how ATV access is managed in northern Minnesota by moving toward a designated trail system north of Highway 2. This would limit access to many existing routes that riders, families, and communities have used responsibly for years.

ATV Minnesota strongly opposes SF1245, and we are asking you to contact members of the committee TODAY.

This bill would significantly restrict ATV access in northern Minnesota by moving toward a designated trail-only system. Many of the routes we currently use would effectively be closed, creating confusion and limiting access for responsible riders.

There are also serious concerns about the cost, staffing, and practicality of implementing this system. ATV users across the state have expressed opposition.

Please vote NO on SF1245 moving forward.

Well it’s a wrap! We had our LAST ride of the season on Friday, October 31 as the trails are now closed. It was a wet, dreary day but brightened considerably with the gals wearing Halloween costumes on the B & B trail ride! (Most guys opted out). Nine vehicles with 18 riders were headed down the trail. The first stop on the trail was to remove a red pine deadfall. ATVs were parked and teamwork ensued. Bob chainsawed the tree and the fellows worked together to lift the heavy downed tree off the trail. Our Wilderness Wheelers members are always at work maintaining the trails! And we DO have good trails! Thanks guys! Our next stop was at Antler Lodge where food, spirits and service are great. Back on the trail we headed to Trailside. Again the food, spirits and service were great! Too soon it was time to head for home after our 65 mile ride and a season of fun! See you next year! You’ll want to ride the B & B and the Wilderness Loop for sure!

Just a reminder of the upcoming deer season!

Deer fi****ms season is around the corner! 🦌 If you're an OHV rider, be aware of upcoming riding restrictions and plan accordingly.

During the fi****ms deer season, use of recreational off-highway vehicles (OHVs) is restricted in areas where hunters are permitted to use a rifle. The restrictions (which apply to state forest trails and access routes, but not to state forest roads) are in place to minimize conflicts between deer hunters and recreational riders. This year's recreational riding restrictions dates are below:

🔸Nov. 8–23 for the northeastern Minnesota 100 Series deer season (see map linked below).
🔸Nov. 8–16 for the Minnesota 200 and 300 Series deer season (see map linked below).
🔸Nov. 1: All OHV trails in southeastern MN are closed.

Licensed deer hunters may continue to use the routes in conjunction with their hunting activity:

🔸Before legal shooting time.
🔸From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
🔸After legal shooting hours.
