URGENT ACTION REQUIRED BY 8/24:
The following is on the agenda for the August 25 Board of Supervisors meeting:
“Authorize the County Purchasing Agent or designee to negotiate and to execute a non-standard agreement with Flock Group Inc., dba Flock Safety, for the subscription service of 103 Flock cameras (License Plate Readers) in an amount of $2,781,000 for the period of September 1, 2026 to August 31, 2036. (REVISED VIA SUPPLEMENTAL)”
The AG community is supportive of this and are speaking out loudly. We need to raise our collective voices to let the BOS know that mass surveillance is not welcome in our community.
In the comments is a file with pre-written letters you can use to email them. Pick one and/or modify as you’d like but please get it out before the meeting!
Opposition to Flock surveillance is where the left and the right unite. That's wild!
